chmod +x jre-1_5_0_04-linux-i586-1.bin ./jre-1_5_0_04-linux-i586-1.bin

and if you need it for mozill

and if you need it for mozilla or firefox you should link a .so file i don't remember its name to mozilla directory or ~/.mozilla/plugins but i cann't remember its name, let me see and tell you.

DJ KING's picture

if Mozilla is installed

if Mozilla is installed in this directory: /usr/lib/mozilla-1.x/ and if the JRE is installed at this directory: /usr/java/jre1.x.x Then type at the terminal to go to the browser plug-in directory: cd /usr/lib/mozilla-1.x/plugins Plug-in for the Mozilla browser. ln -s /usr/java/jre1.x.x/plugin/i386/ns7/ . Where "x" is just your version number

cheers, DJ KING aka Sameh Y. Sabry
